The Conté à Paris Pierre Noire charcoal pencil is made in France and has been popular with artists since the 18th century. The smooth core produces deep black, matte lines and suits a variety of surfaces, from rough or smooth paper to canvas. Features Soft, smooth core for deep black, matte lines Thick core for versatile stroke variations Versatile use on paper and canvas Available in various hardness grades Application Ideal for sketches, shading and expressive drawings. Suited to artists and illustrators working with traditional materials. For light corrections, we recommend a kneaded eraser. Note: This pencil is too wide for most sharpeners.
